Hi all, I have about 13 GB of software instruments that I want to use with my laptop, while I am away on holiday. The dilemma is that I don't have enough space to install them all as the hard drive is nearly full. Parvathi Parameshwara Kannada Serial Actors here. I have installed all my audio loops on an external drive, which partly solves the problem. Anyone got any idea how to get the software instruments installed on the external and recognised by Garageband?

I have searched all over the forums and I can't see any posts relating to this. By the way, I am referring to instruments (that reside in Instrument Library), not loops. If anyone can help I would be extremely grateful.

I have downloaded and installed Boldt24. At first it played, then for a reason unknown to me, it still appeared in the list of instruments, but would not play. Instrument generator says None, even though it appears in the instrument list. I have tried re-installing. All Data Card Unlocker Software Download. Sometimes it would play and then stop. Other times it would still not show up.

I would like to uninstall and re-install (rather than simply re-installing), but I cannot find the package or any of my instruments. I have looked in Library/Application Support/Garageband, Instruments, but the folder appears empty. Any suggestions? I'm having a similar problem. I installed the AMG Expansion Pack and on a new project (only one track) I could play all of the instruments.

I now have one synth track and several drum tracks and a bass track. When I try to access the AMG instruments nothing plays and the 'instrument' drop down shows 'none'. If I create a brand new project then the instruments play in that new project. Is there a limit to the number of instruments you can have active at one time? I find it hard to believe I would've exceeded that already (not more than one track plays simultaneously at any one time). Thanks for any help/ideas!

I noticed that when I installed Logic Studio, it no longer contained the Blues Harp EXS instrument that I used on my previous computer. So I found the instrument files on old computer, and discovered that the instrument is composed of two items: 1) a file named BLuesHarp.exs, and 2) a folder named Bluesharp that contains the AIF sample files. To install them on the new computer, I thought I'd duplicate their previous locations in the GarageBand folder in the Application Support folder: Library Application Support GarageBand Instrument Library Sampler Sampler Files Bluesharp Library Application Support GarageBand Instrument Library Sampler Sampler Instruments BluesHarp.exs When I open GarageBand, Logic Pro, or MainStage, the instrument does not appear anywhere in the lists.
