The Toontrack team made painstakingly sure not to lose any of the sound quality, attention to detail, and musicality of their popular drum sampler. Superior Drummer 2.0 has been redeveloped for optimized use with e-drums with more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times. It includes custom MIDI played by Nir Z accessed through its new customized MIDI engine and arranger, EZplayer Pro, and has standalone capacity through Toontrack solo. Prodigy The Fat Of The Land Rar. Premium UK-based software developer Sonalksis has outfitted the Superior 2.0 with a 5-band EQ, high and low pass filter, compressor, gate, and transient designer filters. The interface is reminiscent of EZdrummer with its simple handling and layout but gives the user layer upon layer of in-depth features to create the ultimate drum track.
Superior Drummer 2.0's samples were recorded by Pat Thrall, Neil Dorfsman, and Nir Z at Hit Factory, Avatar Studios, and Allaire studios, NY. The three have worked with artists as diverse as Meatloaf, Celine Dion, Nick Lachey, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Beyonc, Bj¶rk, Kiss, Joss Stone, Genesis, John Mayer, and Chris Cornell. A MUST for any songwriter Okay so I just recieved this a week ago.

Okay so I just recieved this a week ago. And Im actually fairly impressed now that I've learned all the basics of it. First off I'll explain my reasons for buying it, then I'll explain what problems this has fixed, and lastly I'll say what I think needs to be worked on in my opinion.
So I'm an engineer in training, and a songwriter. Im not a drummer. I can play the drums, but not well.
I have two very good friends who are both AMAZING drummers, but both share the same fatal flaw - flakiness. Its a chore to get them to lay anything down because of their schedules and just plain laziness. I have an older Roland V-drums kit I usually use for demoing. I'm running Logic Studio through a MacBook Pro with 4gigs of ram. I bought this because of mainly two reasons; when I actually do get one of my drummers to lay down tracks, I need better samples than the V-drums and logics esx24 AND for mapping drums easily so I dont need them to show up as much.
SD2.0 fixed both of these problems with tremendous results. Especially in the mapping area. Mapping these are a breeze, and it runs flawlessly in logic. I should warn everyone that this program is a lot bigger than they say, a basic install is only 4 gigs, but the full install is actually 20 gigs. And trust me, you want all 20. Now for my critiques. I dont like the crashes very much, I'm not a fan of most sabians, and all the cymbals are sabians.
The hats and rides are great, but the crashes are lackluster. I'd really like to see some K customs in this thing, or even some piaste big beats. This isnt a big deal, purely cosmetic, but I'd like to see more options on the avatar, change the colors and configurations of the set a bit, maybe a different angle. Yeah that would be cool. Lastly I think theres a lot to improve on the control surface, I'm used to doing things the 'apple way' (ie: integrated and intelligently designed). Theres a lot missing in terms of editing, scrolling, mixing, etc. That makes things a lot more of a chore and the workflow slower.
